A willing, intelligent and winsome dog Golden Retrievers are derived from t Flat Coated Retrievers, Irish Setters and a variety of Spaniel. This was mainly the product of Lord Tweedmouth's Kennels in the latter part of the 19th century. Though its numbers have declined in the field it has become quite popular in the show ring. All shades of Gold and Cream are accepted but not red.
